Smoked Spiced Pear Shrub
This started as a butter, had a layover as a syrup- and we can safely say that the best place for it to be is as a shrub! We've added more vinegar to lend acid to sweet pears and rich spices- smoked by our friends at Wood + Salt to add richness & depth. This is a keeper.
Ingredients: Red Anjou pears, red wine vinegar, tarragon vinegar, sugar, red peppercorns, white peppercorns, black peppercorns, juniper berries, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom.
